Partner institutions and networks

The University of Zurich is part of Zurich as a center of higher education and plays an active role in shaping it. It collaborates closely with its partners (in particular ETH Zurich, the University Hospital Zurich, the other university hospitals and the Universities of Applied Sciences).

At a national level, the University of Zurich is involved in swissuniversities, the Rectors' Conference of all Swiss universities. The association represents the interests and concerns of universities, universities of applied sciences and universities of teacher education at national and international level. It contributes to the deepening and further development of cooperation between the different types of universities.

In addition, the University of Zurich maintains a wide range of national and international collaborations.

UZH's meetings with the following institutions are supervised by the General Secretariat. They take place on a regular basis and serve both strategic exchange and consultation on operational matters.
